Film school for less than $200,000? Scroll down!

Yes, that’s right, filmlinc blog readers, you can eschew mind-boggling tuition and pretentious preening and go to film school right at the Walter Reade theater during our Manny Farber series, November 14-26!

Curriculum: An eclectic line-up of films including must-see classics by Godard, Preston Sturges Renais, Bresson, and Martin Scorsese, inspired by the legacy of influential teacher and critic Manny Farber. It’s an action-packed tour through some of the most important moments in film history crammed into two stimulating weeks!

Required reading: During the next two weeks, stop by the filmlinc blog for “Required Reading” which will help put the screenings and Farber’s legacy into context through exclusive interviews with influential film scholars, critical takes from the web’s most interesting film bloggers, reviews and plenty of surprises!

Degree requirements: Respond to any of the films in the series and we will send you a certification of completion, suitable for framing! Your response may be in words, video or audio, and can be directed at filmlincblog AT gmail DOT com. We’ll post our favorites on the blog.

Tuition to the filmlinc blog’s film school is a mere $11 per session! If you are an actual student with I.D. or a Film Society Member, your tuition is only $7! There’s no better bargain in film appreciation.
